FOUND: 15-year-old Wheaton girl

UPDATE: Montgomery County police say this missing person was located safe and unharmed.


WHEATON, Md. (WUSA9) -- Montgomery County police are seeking the public's help in locating a missing 15-year-old girl.

Police say Noheny Reyes, of the 2900 block of University Boulevard West in Wheaton has been reported missing by her family. Noheny is described as a Hispanic female, 5'3″ tall, 180 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair. She frequents the Wheaton area as well as the Oakridge Apartments in Riverdale, Md. and is very familiar with public transportation.

Police and family are concerned for Noheny Reyes' emotional and physical well-being.

Man climbs radio tower in Wheaton

WHEATON, Md. (WUSA9) -- A man who climbed a radio tower in Wheaton is now down and in custody, according to officials.

Montgomery County Fire & Rescue spokesperson Pete Piringer says that a man climbed the 300 foot Wheaton Radio Tower at University Boulevard and Viers Mill Road. At approximately 3:15 a.m., he started to climb down the tower.

According to Piringer, police responded to the scene and emergency crews evaluated the man. No injuries were reported.


Pedestrian hit by a bus in MD

WHEATON, Md. (WUSA9) -- A pedestrian was struck by a bus at the Wheaton Metro station Friday afternoon, officials report.

Officials say the pedestrian was hit by a Ride On bus and transported to the hospital with possible leg injuries.

2 teens arrested for gang-related shooting in Wheaton

WHEATON (WUSA9) -- Montgomery County police have arrested two teens for shooting an 18-year-old woman early Wednesday morning.

Police say the shooter was a 13-year-old male. He was charged as a juvenile so his identity will not be released. He faces charges related to attempted murder, armed robbery, conspiracy, and handgun offenses.

Nineteen-year-old Eber Umanzor of Kensington is charged with attempt first degree murder, armed robbery, and three counts of conspiracy relating to first degree murder, armed robbery, and retaliation in regard to a witness.

Police say investigators believe both suspects are associated with the "Little r" gang and that gang members thought the victim was divulging information about gang activity to police. Police say two suspects conspired to shoot the victim as an act of retaliation.

MISSING: 14-year-old Wheaton teen

WHEATON, Md. (WUSA9) -- Montgomery County police need your help locating a missing teenage girl from Wheaton.

Police say 14-year-old Alexandra Lexus Innis was last seen near her residence in the 4000 Block of Peppertree Lane on July 30.

Alexandra is described as a black female, 5'06" tall, 160 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair with the right side shaved. She has a birthmark on her stomach. Alexandra was last seen wearing a grey v-neck t-shirt, light blue skinny jeans and pink flip-flops.

Police and family are concerned for her welfare.

4 injured in accident on I-495 near Bethesda

BETHESDA, Md. (WUSA 9) -- Two Metrobus passengers are claiming injuries after the bus was involved in an accident on the Beltway Friday afternoon.

Authorities say that the Metrobus was involved in an accident with a passenger vehicle near the Old Georgetown Road exit on I-495.

Authorities report that two of the passengers in the involved vehicle are also claiming injuries.
