WHEATON, Md. (WUSA9) -- Police found Carman Ibar, 70, of Wheaton in Silver Spring. She is safe and has been reunited with her family, police said.

Montgomery County Police are looking for a missing 70-year-old woman from Wheaton, who was last seen on Thanksgiving afternoon at her home, police said.

Carman Ibar, 70, was last seen around 3 p.m. in the 12600 block of English Orchard Court in Wheaton, Md., authorities said. Police believe Ibar got the keys to a family member's car and drove off.

Ibar is described as a white woman, standing 5'3'' tall and weighing 140 pounds. She was wearing navy blue pants and a light blue sweater. She has brown hair in a pony tail, police said. Ibar was wearing a long silver and gold colored necklace. She is believed to be driving in a gray 2010 Toyota Corolla with Maryland license plates 8AD3163.

Isbar is known to frequently be in the area of her former address in the 4700 block of Iris Street in Aspen Hill. She often frequents in other areas including the Glenmont McDonalds, the Shriver Aquatic Center in North Bethesda, and the nearby McDonalds located at Marinelli Road and Rockville Pike.

Her family and police are concerned because Ibar has Alzheimer's disease and does not usually drive.

If anyone knows the whereabouts of Carmen Ibar or the 2010 Toyota they are asked to immediately call 9-1-1. Callers may remain anonymous.
